Subject: Question on Hangers and Shackles IP: Logged
Message: This question is for all you knowledgable people in dakota land (but i will be dissapointed if i dont get a response from knobby)... I am trying to lift my DURANGO (i know forgive my dakota went away *tear*). I am considering a variety of options but will probably start with the 3" Body Lift. I had given some, though very LITTLE consideration to truckin suspensions lifts but still have BIG reservations about it. I do not know a lot about them but had looked at there hangers and various shackle setups and was curious as to whatyou guys thought about em. I would like to raise the suspension a little for clearance, articulation, and the fact that i hate how the S curve springs that come on here SAG under load. I do not tow a lot when i do it is usually about 5000 #s. I do some offraoding but not to the point that i need 44 " boggers or anything. I want to maintain Highway SAFETY with some comfort and allow for the addition of 33" tires with room to travel. I do bound around the fields and gravel roads back home so i dont want to bottom out and let the tires eat a fender. Sorry for the long post. Any advice on how to approach this or what you guys would do in this situation would be helpfull. Thanks a million BLUED

Message: Blued I'd check out the Rancho 3" lift for that year. That's going to be the highest quality lift you can get.
As far as the hangers go for the rear. That's the one thing that I haven't had any problems with since I've installed.

Message: Thanks for the input (forgot to say 4wd duh) guys...glad to here there was one problem free spot knobby. I will consider doing the rancho suspension lift. The war department gave me the go ahead for the body lift today so i am going to order it sometime next week then when it gets in slap her together, and see how the tires and wheels fit. I will probably get the rancho as i have heard the best things about it. Maybe Santa will bring me one...lol
