Subject: Tow hooks for my 98 Dakota IP: Logged
Message: I was wondering if anyone knows how to mount tow hooks on the front of my 98 Dakota CC 4x4, or if they are even avilable. The first time i got my 96 Grand Cherokee stuck i relized there and absloutly no tow hooks anywhere on the jeep and i dont want to repeat this problem....

Message: My 2001 Club Cab has factory made cutouts in the front bumper to allow for installation of factory tow hooks. I don't think that my '97 Dakota had them on the front. You may be able to modify your bumper to allow the use of the factory hooks, as they apparently bolt to the front frame. I can't put the hooks on mine because the winch I had installed utilizes the frame area that the hooks would use. Wish I could do both. Another option would be to see about the possibility of swapping a newer style bumper for the one on your rig. Only problem is that the factory bumper probably wouldn't be cheap even though it is plastic. Hope this helps.
