I was wondering if anyone knew what PSI I should run at Pismo. I have a 2wd 3.9 ext cab Dakota. Also if anyone is going to be there Aug. 19-21 let me know.

You should run at the most 15psi...but i usually try to run 10. I've seen people get away with 7, but it all comes down to personnal preference in the end.
I'm at pismo at least once a week, so if you want a guide or someone to challenge, i can meet you out there!

I drive a 2002 Dakota 4X4 clubcab with the 3.9L and 3.55 gears.
I went out with some of the guys from this site...go back a few boards and you'll find the pictures from the last trip to the Pismo dunes...i'm the grey SXT.

I ran 11psi last weekend when I was up there with the Durango Club and had a blast!! That seemed to do the trick, I was running around the dunes mostly in 2wd with that psi. I run BFG AT/KO's on my silver '01 QC 4x4 4.7L. There seemed to be lots of Daks up there, were you up there last weekend??

hey guys, great site... I'm a dodge ram owner, interested in trading in for a dakota. Cool to see so many people enjoying the pismo dunes! I run 6-8 psi when I'm up there and I keep it in 2wd unless I'm racing or trying to make up up a steep dune. I have a pretty sick picture of me airing my truck at pismo...
