 Subject: Pimso Beach CA The Dunes this weekend

DJ and I are going to hook up with the Nor Cal and So Cal Durango groups at Pismo this weekend. If anyone wants to hook up with us let us know.
The Durango guys are camping all weekend and enjoy meeting fellow Durango and Dakota owners. I have meet both groups before and they are great people.
DJ and I will be arriving on Saturday at about noon. For those who are not familiar with Pismo DJ is a great tour guide to keep us out of trouble but is glad to point you in the direction of the toughest dunes if you want to go at it.
It will be great fun.

AAAAGGGHHH!!! You're killing me!!! I want to go play!!!!
Yesterday I was out "playing" here in Korea and had to cross a stream twice in the HMMWV, and it was killing me!! Not only was I not driving, but all I could think about was how much fun it would have been in my truck with me behind the wheel!

I'm on the net more now than I was for a while. I got the DSL connection hooked up about 5 days ago so I have much better access than I did befor at work or when I was on vacation. I just don't have quite as much to say because my truck is parked several thousand miles away in California while I'm here in Korea.

Ahh, the beach, the fun, the sand, the company, the trucks, man, it was a hoot, Rob, you missed a good time man!! Thanks to DJ and FXF, I now have Hanson bumper envy. Funny thing, I saw DJ and FxF running around town, and I didn't even know they was here or of this post until FxF told me Sat nite when he showed up and I didn't even recognize him (sorry bro!!). I told my Dad that there's the bumper I want when we saw DJ pull into Vons in Pismo when we went to get s'mores makings Dad asked how much and I told him, and he told me that he won't be able to get it for my b-day, which was the 29th, and turned 30 :( Oh well, I tried, I'll have to settle for the reciever I got from one of the guys this weekend. Rob, you missed out, shame shame :) Maybe next time, I'll hang out here more often to pass on news, this place totally slipped my mind.........

I could tell by the look on your Grummpy ass Face when I saw you the first time at camp that you did not recognize me. It is all Cool Bud cause you are one hell of a guy as all of the members are! Sorry we could not stay longer! I am telling you guys you have got to make a trip to Hollister for the mud this winter!
We got to get the Pozzo trip scheduled and another trip to Pismo. Sept 7th works for me so far.

Grumpy??? Me?? Muah?? Y'all crack me up which is why I love these groups!! Rob, yes, we got to use a strap once, and it's a funny story behind it. Shep came out in his 4x4 1 ton Ford Van w/ a 460. When he came onto the sand, he found out his 4x4 didn't work, and he picked a heck of a time to find out. Right when he left the hard pack, he got stuck, but we got him out easily by airing down. But Sunday AM came, he aired back up 'cause he had to go to work, so he fired up the van at 5AM, started to go and got stuck again, and who's tent do you think he came to first?? Yup, mine. So I get out a strap, give it to him to hook up, backed up my truck to the van, started to drag his tail out, everything was going well until he let some slack go in the strap and I yanked it and nearly snapped my head back. Anyways, I got out, ragged on Shep a bit, then looked at the van.......he put the strap on the top bar of his brush guard, and it got pulled down to about a 45* angle. Reminded me of the time he went to Azusa and he got stuck in his Samarai and I bent the crap out of his bumper hitch pulling him out. Oh well, it was pretty funny, even at 5am, and that damn van is HEAVY!!

If you're talking about his vehicle as the dog, yes :) Blake, his companion otoh, no. Maybe he should of, at least the dog runs good and has 4 "wheel" drive, lol!! The Sami has water in the oil and the van's 4x4 don't work as he found out when he got onto the sand. As usual, in typical Shep fashion, nothing of his works 100% :)
