OK,

I myself was curious about tire sizing so here is my personal scopp on it. I have a 2000 Dak with the 15 x 8.5" rims. I know these rims changed to 16's on the later models. However speaking strictly on the 15x8's here is what I have.

I had 32 x 11.50 Pirelli Scorpion AT's installed this week. NO RUBBING AT ALL! The best part is the Pirelli actually measure almost 1.75" wider than the stock Crapyear RT/S tires (12" cross-section vs 10.4"). They look NICE. gave the truck about about an inch of height and the width just looks mean from the front.

I read alot about AT tires and these seemed to come out with the best price/Performance I could find and I am a research freak about things before I buy. Even got a buy 3 get 1 free deal at a local shop.

I would be happy to send digital pictures o them for anyone who wants to see, but they look great and no need for any body lift.

I did not think the 32x11.5's rubbed unless you hit some rough spots off road.

I did not think they would either. However today had the torsion bars cranked up as well. More becuase I wanted the front end leveled. Although now it clears even better and the truck looks a bit higher on the front. All is well with the world now if I can just get back the last few add-on's from the painter and get the steering wheel straighted out.

On that note it was just re-aligned and now the steering wheel is physically to the left even though it drives straight. Any ideas?

Take it back to the shop that did the alignment!
That`s all part of doing the job correctly. It is very easy to fix for a good tech.

I will send the pics as soon as I get it back. I dropped it off tonight at the alignment shop again so they could play with it all day tomorrow. I will snap some pictures tomorrow of the tires. I just wish I had all the painted parts back but oh well maybe next week.

Chris,

Have you tried those tires out yet? I have a set of 31x10.5 on my truck and I hate them. They give me no traction. They look cool but that was about it. I have never taken my truck into deep mud with them, so I don't know how they do there. I do know they don't grip very well on wet pavement.

There has not ben much rain here if a while so I do not know the wet traction. I read quite a few reviews on them for wet weather/Snow Traction seeing as the Goodyear's were junk after 25k miles. I seemed happy wityh a lot of the reviews. I was comparing the Scorpion's, Goodyear's, and BFG's and they seemed to be the best rated out of the three for the money. I don't do much off road driving mainly snow driving in the winter.
