is it possible to fit 33's if i were to get 2 inch spring spacers in the front and 2 inch blocks in the back? has anyone done this?

No ,it won`t work.You have a torsion bar front suspension , not springs.

I don't want to prove anyone wrong just my two cents.My friend Mark has a 99 4x4Dakota and his has springs infront and no he didn't have to put spacers to fit the 33's. It would look nicer if it was raised dough.

Gotta agree with Fred...torsion bar front ends (w/ Rack'n'Pinion steering) didn't show-up 'till '00 or '01. Previos is old-school worm drive/steering box with coils. Not to sure about 33s with only 2", might need a little cuttin'.

My 97 4x4 has torsion bars. So a 99 will also have torsion bars. Unless it's a 4x2, I don't know about those. Everyone talks about how they have to trim with a 3 in lift so I would imagine 2 in. would require a lot more triming.

Sorry, I don`t want to burst anyones bubble here , BUT ,all Dodge Dakotas with 4WD have had a torsion bar front suspension. My previous 99 had it and my current 02 has it. The 2WD trucks have springs in the front.
The steering has nothing to do with it. Yes , the changed the set up to rack-and-pinion in `00 , but the rest of the susp. is the same.
If he has a 4x4 with springs , I`d love to see it!
Maybe he has a RAM , not a Dakota?!

These 4x4 Daks have had torsion bars from day one (1987) till present. the 2wds have coils. Are you guys smoking the reefer?
