Do a search on torsion bars. It may take a while to sort through the info but you'll find a lot of helpful tips and a few precautions to consider. Jim

Your best bet is to go to an alignment shop and pay the 50.00 to have your truck leveled, They will need to adjust the camber after this is done so you wont wear the outside tread on your tires.

Locate the torsion bars under the truck. You will be turning the large nut on the back side of the bars. It is under the cab area. Make a mark on the nut and frame with paint before you turn, so will know how far you turned each one for future reference. Jack the front on the truck up off the ground before doing this. This takes the weight off the bars. Not jacking it up could damage the bars, and makes it more difficult to turn. You will need to get it aligned afterwards. Hope this helps.

I did that in my truck and this is what you have to do: First, measure the distance from the groung to the edge of the fender or fender flare. Then measure the distance from the ground to the bolt of the lower control arm, do this for both sides. This is to make sure both sides are equal in height. Then torch out the upper half of the stopper, leave the bottom stopper. Make sure you grind any pieces of metal off the frame. The next step is to raise the truck. Turn the T bolt clockwise for one complete revolution on each side. Lower the truck, roll the tires for a couple of feet back and then foward, then measure again each side. record how much incresed in height for future reference. On my case one full revolution raised the truck 1/4" therefore I knew that 4 complete turns will raise the vehicle 1". But it varies from truck to truck on how worn are the bars. After you raise the truck to desired height, make sure you compensate at the upper control arm. That is if you don't want to be buying balljoints every month. What I did was that depending on how many inches I raised, I will substract 1" off of it and compensate for that amount. eg.If raised 3" put 2" grade 8 bolt sleeves between the upper control arm and the frame. For this you have to buy longer screws. Or you can use 2" blocks with the proper holes for the screws to go through. After that is done, take it the the aligment shop.

What the heck are you talking about?
Torching what? What stopper, the bump stops?
Why are you messing with the a-arm mounts? I understand what your saying for that part you spaced the mount down just like truckin-suspension does to the a-arms but it really isn't necessary. I've cranked mine up 1" on the drivers side and the pagssenger side was sagging 1/2" to start so I cranked it up 1.5" to level it and neither my a-arms or cv joints are at bad angles.

I also have cranked them up all the way to level the truck and there has been no problems that I can see. I will continue to keep an eye on them though.
