This is a response to a question about a front end lift. what does anyone know about the front lift of 2"?! if i could get that, i could fit 33s!
here it is: (out of the 'raised dakotas' section):
Yeah I put 2in lift shackles on my 1990 Dak. I had a 2in suspension lift on the front and a rear add a leaf which caused my rear to sag. with the shackels, it totally did away with the sagging.
They were not hard to install either. Got them from AIM. Like $55.00 or something like that. Obviously the rear went up alot but it really did nothing for the front. My logic was it would pull the rear of the front fenders off the tire abit and maybe i could get another size up on the tires. But no Luck. I does look more agressive though! Good Luck.

Hey dude,
That was my posting above. I have a 1990 Dak 2wd V6. I have put a 3in body lift (Trailmaster) and a 2in suspension lift (Rouch Country Spacers)( used rear add a leafs) and a set of 2in shackles (rear from AIM). With all this and some good fender cutting, I am able to run 31x10.50s. There is no way on this Earth that you can run 33s on any 2wd Dakota with the lifting avaliable out there now. Hopefully soon AIM or someone will come out with some 3in lift spindles and then (with conjunction w/ a 3in AIM suspension lift and a 3in body lift) you might be able to run 33s. But as of now, no way!!!! Trust me. I have been in this for over 2 years now looking in every magazine, caling every lift company, and even contacting private companies about customized suspensions and have yet to find anything. i have the same dakota, but 4x4, 2 in body and 2 in chassis (torsion bars and add a leaves). i need about another 2" to fit 33s tho, i have 31s and can fit 32s.
