Subject: Bump stops and rear Sway bar IP: Logged
Message: Does anyone now if it would hurt anything if you were to remove the fron bump stop ( lower ) ? Also would the truck still handle good if you were to remove the rear sway bar? On My 1996 explorer I removed it to get more flex out of the rear and you really couldn't tell. I also did a tortion twist to get more hight out of the front. I just figured with as stiff as the suspention is it would not effect it. I have a 2000 CC 4x4 Dark Blue. Here are some pics:

Message: Here is my two cents,
I wouldn't remove any of the bump stops.
Because if you were to ever bottom or top out
your truck wouldn't like it very much.
As for your rear sway bar. You could remove it
and take your truck for a ride and see if you
like the change. But beware, removing the
rear sway bar will cause the truck to over stear
on tight turns so be cautious.
One question why do you want to remove it.
