I was wondering if you could put on a light bar on my truck even though I have a tanoe cover on mine???

For around $1000(roll bar-$600, light bar-$75, tonneau seamed-$175 and lights-$225) you can if you have a good canvas shop near you that can stitch the tonneau around the bars like I had done.
Total involved is about $1,300 with Downey SST Tonneau and all labor done myself except for tonneau seaming. Looks great if done right and you dont lose much mpg by keeping the tonneau on, just a little more wind resistance from a wall of lights above the roof:)

Not losing MPG from tonneau, but from having a large row of lights above the roof iine adding more wind resistance, for me it is less than a 1 MPG so it is worth the trade-off for looks and functionality.

It's probably made by Grizzly, the only manufacturer that I know of making roll bars for 97+ Dakota's. If you click on my thumbnail, you will see I have the Double/Single Grizzly Roll Bar. The best price I found was www.truckaddons.com for the rollbar and www.4wheelparts.com for the light bar to add more than two lights. 4wheelparts price matches so give them truckaddons roll bar price and you'll be all set.
