Finally got the lift, rims and tires installed. I went with a 3" PA Body Lift and 15x10 Eagle Alloy 589's on 33x12.50 Pro Comp XTerrains on my 2002 Graphite/Silver 4x4 X-Cab -- Lift took about 6 hours (not that hard, just took a while time to do some things the right way)-- Rims and tires did scrub some, and we had to trim the front bumper a little (see pictures) - OVERALL L@@KS GREAT (sits as high as my friends 2500 Dodge Diesel 4x4) - I WILL POST MORE PICTURES AFTER THE 4TH - By the way the Pro Comp XTerrains are AWESOME!

could you post an overall pic? I am looking at a 2" BL on top a 3" SL, but am hesitant about my frams showing / bumpers not lining up.
thanks

I am going to post some pics of the "complete" truck, but it will be after the 4th before I have time to get them developed and posted. The frame does show, but to me it's not that "eye catching" once you put on some bigger rims and tires.

Do you get much road noise off of those tires?? They look sweet but, i think that they might not perform the way i'd like them to... If you ever get them in the soft sand lemme know how they do..

Well to be honest I don't really do all that much off-roading. I really just got them for the "looks" but so far they have been wonderful. Occasionally I do help my friend on his farm so I'll let you know if I have any trouble in those type situations. Other than that we just go to the dunes every once in a while.

and to answer your questions, there's not much highway noise at all. REALLY SURPRISING!

I got them from 4 Wheel Parts. They were in the "Package Deals" section. Eagle Alloy 589's on 33x12.50 Pro Comp XTerrains (I believe it was around $1070.00) Then they gave me $100 off for spending over $1,000 and mounting, balancing, and shipping was free. I also order the lift lips for $62.95 and they did charge a handling fee of $50.00 so the GRAND TOTAL for everything was $1083.00 - They also have body lifts there (with free shipping for $205.95) www.4wheelparts.com

They look like they have a lot of clearance because I actually trimmed the bumper at an angle about 2", but I was able to move the black plastic(from behind the cut of the silver bumper) up and then bolt it (from underneath) to the bumper again. Most people cannot even tell I have cut my bumper. I also had to trim the bottom of the fender flare by the door and shave a little metal off.

I must say though... it's well worth the trimming! My friend has a Dodge Ram 1500 with a 3" lift on it and he is running the same rim/tire setup that I am!

How much do they stick out of the fenderwells with the setup you have as viewed from the the front and back? Just wondering cause I was thinking of going with the same setup. Thanks, Jim

The trimming you had to do in the back of the wheel well, Did you have to cut that much out or were you just cutting as much as you could to make sure it did not rub?

That is the same amount if not more than I removed when I put on the 33's with the Hanson Bumper and no lift.

Last question out of curiousity for anyone with a body lift, Have you noticed any rub on the inside when you hit a deep driveway hard or get full articulation in the front?

Do you rub on the frame at all or is the backspacing on the rims preventing that?

Thanks for the info.

I would guess that the tires are actually sticking out about 4-4.5" from my fender flare.

The reason that I had to cut the back fender flare so much (and it's really just the bottom inside of it) was because that bottom screw kept catching on my tire tread. I just cut at an angle down from where that bottom screw was and moved the screw up about 1" (no problems at all now - NOTE: that was only hitting that screw before when I made a very sharp turn and hit a bump while turning) - I still hit the very bottom of the metal piece (about 1/4" needs to be shaved off) below the back fender flare if I am going about 4 mph, hit a bump, while I'm turning sharply. But as far as normal driving and turning in and out of driveaways, etc. I have no scrubbing at all anymore.

Yeah I understand what you are talking about. I am not getting any rubbing in my front wells unless I get full articulation with the wheels turned slightly. The place I rub at is that piece that comes out, it's about 2 "'s from where you trimmed to, since you can't cut any higher due to the metal behind. At max turn I get frame rub just alittle.

I am on 15x8 stock rims though. Great job on the lift Bud!
It seems as though I get about the same rub as the 3" body lifts running 33's.
