Got back a while ago from a day at Pismo Beach with ForeXFour, RESQReady, Arthur, and somebody else whose name completely escapes me at the moment...black Quad Cab from Southern CA. GREAT DAY! A few comments...

I'm too timid for my own good behind the wheel. But at least I didn't alter my truck's DNA. For a few moments I was contemplating how to explain the impending rollover to my insurance company, but thanks to digging and re-arranging of a hillside by Arthur and RESQReady, I don't have to file a claim.

I got the distinct impression that when Arthur got behind the wheel, he must have thought someone was filming him for a Dodge TV commercial. He'll try anything! I give him extra style points for blazing up a hill 3 or 4 times that a Mitsubishi Montero Sport couldn't make it up at all, then with the Mitsubishi still in plain sight, Arthur rubs it in by attempting the hill in reverse.

RESQReady and FXF have amazing patience...spent 30 or more minutes trying to unstick a Suburban (that was apparently trying deperately to end its misery by burying itself in the sand), then watched as the Suburban driver came danger close to burying it AGAIN!

FXF wins the "most altered sheetmetal award," thanks to his son running a quad into the left-rear fender.

Again, a great day. Thanks guys!

I failed to re charge my battery from the day before and could not find the back up battery! I wanted video! We only got pics. I have a really great one 3 Dak's and 1 Suburban. Tim pulling me back to get me unstuck from the first attempt of the double pull me and Dj were doing to get this guy out. Three attempts! Timing was everything.

I will post the pic's on my web site later tonight.

It was an awesome day!

Authur you are the man! Not afraid to take it to the limit and in reverse at that! It was a great day of Duning and the group Photo turned out great. I will let you know when I have the pictures up!

PS the Shell station to exits north is FREE for air!!!

The dunes were soooo much fun! Thanks to Chris(forexfour), Derek (RESQready), and Dan Gruber(as himself) for a great day out at the dunes.

Sorry if i show-boated a little, but i had so much fun with you guys, and i really wanted to push my Dakota to the limits and past since i had you guys there to help me out if i got stuck. And surprisingly i didn't!

Still, tons of fun, probably one of the best times i've had 4 wheeling, hope you guys can come down and go to Pozo sometime soon.

Highlights of trip...

Diggin Dan out to escape flip ; )
Going up Comp Hill in reverse (wish i made it over!)
Watching the suburban get towed out...hilarious!
Meeting some really look people!

Cons to trip...

Totally jealous of Chris and Derek's Hanson Bumpers
Totally want a V8 (get to do the same stuff but at fast speeds!)
Totally want 3.92 gears instead of 3.55
Totally want Dan's body lift
All this equals arthur speading MORE MONEY!
Should have brought a camera!

Loved the whole thing...can't wait to see the posted pictures...can't wait till next time...i already went out and bought a shovel, tow-strap, and some shackles to put on the frame as tow points.

Anyways...if anyone ever has the chance to go wheeling with these guys...my advice is DO IT!

Authur,

We need to look at setting a date for Pozo. I know for me I am not gonna be available for a month or so. Maybe end of August or september. We are starting to make the new on call schedule at work so I'm thinking Sept would be good.

I'm sure DJ will be in as well!

Right DJ!?

We'll get it together!

Pozo sounds great to me...along with going in September. I leave for Italy on July 5th and i'm not coming back till August 9th, and i'm going school hunting after that and then actually starting back up at my junior college, so once September comes around i'll be settled and have plenty of time for wheelin. Let's look into any Saturday or Sunday in September!

Arthur,

Send me a mailing address for you. I just got the pics back from Pismo, and I've got prints and a CD for you. Some great shots of you, including one where it is obvious that you're trying the hill in reverse...sand flying towards the front of your truck when you're facing downhill.

DJ & FX4: I'm mailing the pics & CD today.

I'll try to post the pics on my yahoo photo album sometime today.
