Subject: Manix Bumper Guard Problem
IP: Logged

Message:
I bought the Dakota version of Manix (made in CA) bumper/Brush Guard with headlight guards. And in less than a year, the damn thing has rusted up horribly. I live in Michigan so road salt has been known to swallow up entire hondas now and then, but I kinda hoped that this Brush guard would have lasted longer... anyone else have this problem?

Yeah, my holes where the off road lights mount are rusting. And I have had to put a new bottom pipe on it because the material that they put on it was to lightweight and it bent when I hit a stump.

mine is just starting to have issues. whoever prepped it for the powder coat must have missed a spot on the top cross tube because the rust is starting to bloom under the coating- looks like little bubbles in the black. talked to the carquest where my father in law purchased it for me (merry x-mas) and they will replace it as soon as i get it off.
on a related subject i'm thinking of adding a 3" body lift this summer. i've had one person on this board tell me the bottom brackets for the manik can be altered and the gaurd can be re-used.
anyone else done this?
