Subject: clutch suggestions? IP: Logged
Message: My clutch squeeks after about 10-15 minutes of driving and I believe it is a bearing that need to be oiled or replaced. Because labor is so much to have this done, I figure I may as well swap out the clutch. Does anyone have any suggestions as to a good performance clutch that can still be used as a daily driver? Also, what else should I have done while the tranny is out, IE mods, maintainence? Flywheel?

Message: i would go with a centerforce clutch, ive had mine in for about 2 years now i looked at it a couple weeks ago when i put another tranny in n its barely worn at all im not easy on it at all either, i got mine from summit for about 350. also something you definitely want to check and probly replace anyway is your pilot bearing, especially if its the original, i just had to replace my tranny while i was on leave from iraq because the thing went out, the bearings about 10-15 bucks oreillys has em or autozone they'll probly have to order em but deffinaly replace it cause it will go out if it hasnt already, try to find a pilot bushing if you can that'll hold up alot longer than a bearing.
