Thanks and thats not too bad of a 60' but it still spin a lil at the start I need to launch under a grand to keep the tires from spining at all. I have only made 3 runs in it and they were test runs really. Theres too many people at the track always! :(
BTW Future mods will be R/T Cam, 1.7RRs, M1 Intake, BFG Drag Radials 275/60/15, M1 Flash.
After that I will think about maybe P&P Magnum heads or get 2.02 R/T heads???
Guess I need to get to work gotta make money to do this!!! :)

I put forth the efforts to stop wheelspin. I first put in a suregrip limited slip differential. Then got some 275mm fat sticky tires on the back. That didnt stop it. Then I put in Caltracs... I still get wheelspin. I dont think there's any stopping it. At least I launch nice and straight though.

It came with 3.50 but I bumped it up to 3.92 when I put in the suregrip. That is one job I didnt do myself. The mechanic saw me original gears (110k miles at the time) and told me they were chewed up and should be replaced... so I went for the 3.92's My speedo is off now by about 8% but much better low end.

you should be able to find a new speedo gear for your tranny mark.. i think they run about $10-15.. since that 3.92 gear was a factory gear.

Yeah I heard that. Are they easy to put in? I hate taking the dash apart. I always end up with extra screws. :-P

nothing on the dash.. it should be at the cable where it goes into the transmission..
i've got somewhat east access to my 727 and it should be the same as your transmission.. i'll take some pix and show you what i am talking about.
