Subject: Tri-Y Headers?
IP: Logged

Message:
Okay, here's the setup, I have a 2000 4x4 Dak QC with a 5.9L. I put JBA Cat4ward headers on it back in '02. But, even though I got the ceramic coated headers, I have had problems with them frying spark plug wires.

I've thought about wrapping them, but that kind of defeats the whole "eye-candy" aspect of them. I've also entertained fabricating some form of heat shield. But, in the end, I am simply leaning towards moving to something more like a tri-y-type exhaust header.

So, does anyone have any suggestions for a replacement exhaust header?

I have tri-y's on my 93. I haven't had any problems frying the wires, but have you tried using looms or zip ties? Anything to get them away from the pipes. Any other Q's lemme know, maybe I can help.
