Subject: intake + what? IP: Logged
Message: O.k , I have the homemade intake on the 4.7 , and I was wondering if dual (single in two out muffler) would work without messing up the low end , useing the proper size? I have heard it would mess up the back pressure with duals. But does it still mess it up with the intake?
Also , how much better performance would I get if I relocated the temp sensor into the intake tube?
If I do that , how close to the filter do I set the sensor?
Thanks all!

Hey Ken's getting itchy for some Mods.... Cool
You should be in line for a TB upgrade to, I think they put a bigger mm TB on the newer 4.7's
I've been thinking about moving my IAT to my K&N tube but haven't got around to it yet, I like to do one thing at a time so I can see the efects better. I tried the Autolites when I did my RR's and changed back after I couldn't get rid of a stumble off idle.
Hey did you ever get Dad a HomeBrew setup ??
Hope to see you in Sept.

4.7L Throttle Body Swap:
For those who don't know, the 4.7L comes with two flavors of throttle bodies. The '99-'00 models use a 65mm and the '01 models use a 68mm throttle body. You can easily swap out the later model 68mm throttle body for your performance-limiting 65mm without any problems. You can tell which one you have by looking at the stamped number on the throttle plate. "65" = 65mm / "68" = 68mm

Message: Not yet on Dads truck. He's waiting to see what happens to mine during the Summer I think. He DID do the T.P.S adj. He didn't notice that much difference , but I still wanna try that also.
He'll be at the meet , so if you get there , you can see that homemade exhaust he made. Sounds VERY cool, and he said he didn't notice any drop in performance.
