Message: Can you explain to me what .70 of an hour is? You know when you go in for service and it takes 3 hours and when you get your paperwork it says .70 hrs. I see the mechanics sure like the vending machine and the coffee pot where I go for service.

Message: LOL. All points of a hour is one thenth of a hour or six minutes. .1 of a hour=6 minutes, .2 of a hour=12 minutes, .7 of a hour=42 minutes. Or just miltiply the .? by six to get minutes. So the next time you see a workorder that says say 2.6 hours that means 2hours 36 minutes.

Message: LOL! Not if I want to make any money. Every .1 that I stand around costs me money that is the way I look at it. I only get paid what the book says no matter how long it takes.

Message: It also works the other way. On my 92 I was charged for 2 hours of labor to install cruise control and it only took the guy 1 hour.

Message: Yes, not very often do I loose time on a job. Mainly warranty is where that happens.
