Winter is here in Ohio,I changed my oil and there it was,foam{the Dealer call's it a milk shake,not funny to me} in my oil filler tube.My truck did not come with the part that you all take off your 4.7's body's next to the radiator,it stops road crap from coming in to the engine compartment,you know that rubber flapper thing.I had to buy one from the dealer for 9 bucks my cost.Hope it will help keep some of the cold air from hitting the filler tube at speed.[hot&cold make water}I *itced to Chrysler last winter,but they say it is ok to have a milk shake in your oil fill tube.

Yeah the foam sucks, DC's poor engineering that they won't do anything about except put a baffle in the fill tube so you can't see it. I wonder if they cast the piece from metal would it draw heat from the motor thus eliminating the problem. Probably not cost effective on DC's behalf. :-(

All they need to due is put the filler back on the valve cover.They must have saved some mony buy doing what they did.Ford's 4.6 look's much like the 4.7 and they have it on the valve cover.

Bob,do you get that on your Jeep,or are they set up differently? I have a 4.7 Dak , but I have never hade the chance to look under the hood of a 4.7 jeep.
