Subject: What pads for PowerSlot Rotors? IP: Logged
Message: What kind of Brake pads would you guys suggest for Powerslot rotors?
I just got the rotors in yesterday. Now I need to get some brake pads to go with them and the stainless steel lines.

Message: Raybestos Ceramics, been using them since April and they work great with the Powerslots. Hardly any break dust or brake fade even with larger tires like we have.

Message: I eye them up everytime I was the truck or have it up on a lift. Rotors look almost like the day I installed them with the typical fine record "grooves". No problems whatsoever, I was worried about cracking after hearing HSKR complain that his did using ceramics. But I do not see a problem or have heard anyone complain about it either. I say go for it and POOF! no more brake dust! The ceramics appear to be wearing like iron too, might just give more miles than the truck will last:) I know, its a Dodge and will last forever, lol.

Message: Test drove a new 2500 Ram with the Hemi today, actually drove it around for almost four hours at various stops including school and Home Depot on my usual saturday. Love the stock exhaust note, can't imagine what a flowmaster or glasspack dual set-up would sound like:O My wife's 4.7 with 18's and 3.55's will IMO easily keep up with the Hemi in stock form, her truck has Air Raid and catback exhaust. The size/weight advantage is huge for the Dakota, but I just felt the 5.7 with 3.73's was working harder than the Dak had to to achieve the same results:) I still am thinkin Full-size next spring when I get ridda the current Dak just for the lift and performance mods. Who knows, the new Dak might look sweet and I'll just get another.
I had to step over to the full-size theme for few hours just so I wouldn't miss out on anything:)

Message: Lab Rat - I found a local shop that can make them. I had one cut with a rubber hose just to test the fit I'm going to put that on today and then lift my truck up and crank the wheel both ways just to make sure there isn't any problem with the length of the way it's routed. Then I'll go back looks like it's going to end up being next week and have them cut 2 more lines out of stainless steel and replace both sides.
Mind you these lengths aren't stock because of my lift. But yes I did find a place to do stainless lines.
Classic-Tube can do it. All you'd have to do is send them one of your lines and then they would cut one with SS Braided and send it back. The problem is I can't wait 10 days w/o any brake lines. And the fact that mine isn't going to stay stock puts another twist. If we didn't have that 90 degree elbo in the middle I'm sure it'd be alot easier to make.

Message: Too cool. They do list one for the RC; it may actually work for us non-lifted guys since the only difference should be the length of the hard line for the rear.
Thanks!

I think I got about 2" longer then stock but instead of having the metal 90 degree elbow in the middle it's all hose.

Message: HOSE FAST??!! Thanks, we've been buying from them for years and I didn't even think of 'em for brake lines. Are they still off of Kingsley Rd? Did you get stainless from them or just longer lines?
Now if I can just psyche myself into going to Garland (without getting shot at or busted by a crooked cop)!!
