Message: J,
Fram = Crap, but it's doing a good job on mine. I, being a lazy S.O.B., have my oil changed at the gas station there at Ramstein by you and get the Mobil1 15w50 for the summer and will get the 10w40 for the winter. At every oil change (all 3) the oil looks as god as new, clear as the day It was put in and looks like it doesn't need changing.
My 1996 NISSAN XE I sold to buy the Dak had 71,000 miles on it using the same oil and filter. I told the person that bought the truck that it was 1,500 miles past due for a change and what oil I used. He went bought the oil and filter and changed it, the next day he told me I must have been confused and had just changed it, because it was nearly Crystal Clear. HA!
Now that's after using that MOBIL1 and FRAM CRAP for 6 YEARS and 71,000 miles. (and I used it for SCCA for the first 2 years of it's life)

Message: I've been using fram filters for as long as i can remember and like yates was saying when i change the oil the following time it dosent even look like it needs to be changed. They have worked fine for me so i've stuck with them in all of my trucks and car.

Message: I either use an AC Delco or a Fram X2 filter. I have had no problems with either. Fram has been good to me in all my cars, although I do spring the extra couple of bucks for eith the Tough Guard or the X2 and not the bottom of the line model.
