Does anyone have , or seen , a roll pan on a 4x4? I was thinking about putting one on mine , since I'll never take it off road. Only thing I was woried about was getting hit in the a$$. Also , is the spare tire REALLY obvious with a roll pan , being the truck sits higher?

Matt,

I ordered my rollpan directly from Sir Michaels (www.sirmichaels.com) and technically I didnt pay anything for it. The girl who hit me's insurance company paid $147.96 (shipped), then another $225 to have it painted and mounted.

I have a roll pan on my 4x4. It does make the back of my truck seem to stick up high but i still love it. Yes you have to get lights for your plate. You can buy billet frames that have a light built in. It cost be about 40 bucks.

In Texas your also suposed to have a light on your licance plate.. But for the last about year when I made my bumper I don't have any light on the rear and no one has said anything. I've driven from Texas to Illinois and over to Arkansas.. Basically all the central US states and no one has bothered me about it.

I'm still working on putting a licance plate frame that will take care of that for me but I haven't yet gotten one.

I took, the hitch off when i put the roll pan on, but i don't know if fit or not. I think it would but it might stick out pretty far. I sold my boat so i don't really need a hitch anymore, so i just took it off.

If you want i can hold the hitch up to the frame and see of it would fit.

Everyone with an 88-96 dak needs to get in on the custom
gauge group buy. We only need 14 more. www.speedhut.com

Sorry all, my computer must have been down when the question was asked about the lights for the license plate. The Sir Michaels rollpan actually comes with the light kit- works well! Im just worried about the legality of the rollpan in Illinois- Ive heard that they're illegal but that cops will knock on them and leave you alone if they're steel cause they (for the most part) assume that the steel would be attached to the frame. Oh well- its been 9 months and no problems yet!

Lynn,

Thanks for the comment on my Dew Truck- I've actually added alot to my Dew collection in the last few months- includind the Dodge race car that Atwood drove (#19).
