Thats sh*tty how your truck shifts at 4000 RPM. Its not even hitting the peak power band at the RPM. My truck made its peak HP at 4250 RPM and peak torque at 3500 RPM. Looks like you need that TV cavle adjusted. My truck will shift at 5000 at WOT and everyonce and a while chirp the tires while shifting into second at around 40 MPH. It will chirp the tires down shifting into 1st from about 30 almost everytime. And NO, it does not have a shift kit, Stock TV adjustment it would shift right at 4800 with real smooth shifts. Now it is still smooth shifting under regular throttle but WOT it will snap my head back on shifts.

yeah it piss me off too. i would have shifted the truck manually but i was holding the camera. when i shift the truck manual sometimes it will chirp the tires. how did you adjust the TV cable? my friends dad said it was fully adjusted but i don't see why it is shifting like that. it will normally shift at 3500rpm i was lucky when filming this.

Sorry posted signature on 12/12 - 12/13/2005 that messed up FIREFOX screens!

mopar318-
when my tranny shifts it seems to take forever - I have been trying to adjust my tv cable for a more solid shift at WOT - how is yours adjusted?

On my truck all I have to do is push down the little button on the TV adjuster and I can move the cable in or out. Not sure if it is the same or not on your 93.

on the 98 I had there was a ittle white clip on the TV cable. You could unclip and pull it off the cable and adjust the cable.. It took a while to get the perfect adjustment (nice firm part throttle shifts, and not hitting the rev limiter at full throttle) but it was worth it! Now the superchips tuner does all the tranny work on my 4.7 :-)
