Im most likely gonna buy these 17" polished wheels..now what kind of tires should i get with them (size)? my dakota isnt lowered (yet) so i dont wanna really get too low a profile. thanks
id post a pic of them if i knew how...im guessing u have to register..

yeah whats illegal? and btw i got them wow they are nice..$300 for 5 brand new..some guy bought these rims for this company he worked for that went out of business for below cost and sold them for about cost

right on, what a deal~ man i worked for dodge auto dealership, and i only got a deal for $800 for a set of 4 chrome 17's, (without tires). are they chrome? with what type of emblem in the middle and ram head or shield? and what are you going to lower it to? is this a standard cab or ex. cab?

rt2001 is talking about the wheel/tire sticking out past the body. i noticed my r/t wheels w/ 255/55/17 tires do stick out just a tad past the fender lips but not really noticeable until i drive on snow covered roads, then you can see the two roostertails coming off the front wheels shooting snow straight up along the truck... most states it is illegal to have tires sticking out past the body due to road debris/rocks being flung into traffic and causing damage/wrecks...

well i dont think its illegal here in california. but then again, that never stops anyone. certainly not me. but,alot of ghetto people with their buicks and old's try to pull it off, and ive seen some imports with that. that's just wrong to do that. major stress on those axles; not to mention what you said about throwing up debris to cars behind you. i never thought about that one. dam. but RTs have 9" wheel width, its expected im sure..... right? but i dont have an RT, so i cant talk much on that note.

they are polished, not chrome. it says SEC alloy wheels in the middle and i wanna lower it probably 2/3 or 2/4 whatever is even. its an extended cab.

go for it. i mean i got that 2/3 already. and i propt up my 17's next to it (well had someone else hold them LOL) and it looked pretty dam good! but of course i dont have the tires yet, hence the "proping".
yeah i got an ex cab too. same color. is yours solid or chrome bumpers? SLT,RT,or Sport?

SLT..it was originally purple heh with those ugly grey bumpers but i had it painted black and i painted the bumpers black and the front thingie under the bumper black..ive never seen another dakota like that. if u have pics of the 2/3 could i see please? thanks..ill post pics when i have them

thats the reason the r/t's and other trucks have the fender flares is because the wheels stick out past the fender, they do that at the factory unpurpose, i think for the road debris reason, but i just think it looks bad ass with the flares, hehe

I have 275/50/17 and they only stick out 1 inch max on my 97' the law is more than 2 inches. don't sweat it, you can't even tell.

whats the width on your rims? are they the standard r/ts? Man i feelyou on that comment, Tweaked. i would like to get some flares. but that will be one of the last things. livin in hte valley, there isnt much debris here in sac, ca.
