Subject: adjustable air springs?? help me plz IP: Logged

it says adjustable springs. do they go in place of the shocks?? can i lift/lower my truck using these or wil i need more air ride equipment?

Message: I think that system is designed as a helper for lowered trucks that need to tow things. It is just designed to stiffen (add more support) to the rear suspension to avoid a terrible ride or bottoming out while towing...

Message: It works on the same principal though. However most of them kits don't come with a stout enough compressor or too small reserve tank (like a gallon or two). Some you have to fill up with an external compressor. Also they way they mount them on the leafs and then bolt to the frame you would never go as low as you wanted cause you need the top mount to be as high as possible to get you low as possible. I just bagged my rear. There is really a lot involved and and a whole lot of labor if you don't have access to tools such as.....torch, sawzall, welder, every air tool imaginable, esp. impact, cutoff tool, air chisel
