Message: I was wandering if there is anyone out there with pics of thier bagged R/T??? I have a 2000 flame red standard cab R/T and i am having it bagged at the moment, The shop that is doing it is somewhat well know, atleast I have seen thier work, but if anyone has heard about DREAMAKERS KUSTOMS in pennsylvania let me know if you have heard about them. Also, they choose to run 5/8 line, my boys truck has it and it hopps and is very fast going up!!! but he burns compressors every here and there, but i understand why!!! so if anyone has pics please post or email tukn18s@yahoo.com thanks i will post pics of mine when shes done

Message: well, this one isn't mine (i wish it was), but the link isn't working right now, hopefully it will when u try it. It's a BADASS bagged R/T.
but how fast the truck lifts depends more on how big the valves are (and how high the pressure switch is set). but really, i don't think they even sell slow valves anymore. if u have 3/8 valves, FBSS, it'll be decently quick.
with your friend's compressor, what kind is it? How many? how big of a tank? unless it's a crappy compressor (or a small compressor with a big tank), it really shouldn't blow out all the time(even tho he's prolly running them to about 300psi. my friend runs his 2 viairs to 300 psi to hop and blows bags before compressors). another friend blew his compressor; he thought it was cuz he just had 1 compressor(viair450) with a big 9 gallon tank, and it took a while to fill it. but it cuz the system was leaking somewhere, so it couldnt fill the tank as quick. hope all this helps.
lemme know what kind of compressors your friend keeps blowin. and what kind of setup u got.

Message: Thanks for the info, I thought he was burning compressors up because he had been running such big line 5/8, and only one 5 gallon tank. the set that nate (the owner of dreamakers) and myself are talking about is 2 nine gallon tanks, with 2 or 3 3/4 horse compressors with 1/2 line from the compressors to the tanks then 5/8 line from the tanks out. tha make of the compressors will be found out today and i will post so if they are the cheapies i can rearrange to get the good!! thanks for all your help!

Message: bro, 2 9 GALLON TANKS!!?? That's ALOT of FUKKIN AIR!! I'd say u need AT LEAST 3 compressors for that. they recommend 1 3/4hp compressor for every 5 gallons. your compressors are gonna run FOREVER to fill those with any good pressure (145psi).
I mean, if u want competition stuff (& it sounds like that's where you're going) i'd go with 2 7 gal tanks with 3 compressors, but u can do the 9 gals with 3 or 4 comps. DAMN that's alot aof AIR!! your friend DID NOT burn his compressors cuz he didn't have enough tank(s). If his pressure switch is set any higher than maybe 220psi (if he hops, it prolly is), his compressor prolly couldn't handle it. or if there was a leak, his compressor would be working extra hard.
Here it is: the longer (more often) your compressors are running, the more likely they're gonna burn out. SO: 1. the bigger(more) tanks u have, 2. the higher the pressure switch is set (higher pressure=quicker lift) 3. any leaks in the system >> these 3 things make the compressor(s) run longer.
Also, what kind of valves did u get (size, brand, how many)? and Make Sure the compressors are 100% duty cycle. they're made to run longer than smaller % ones. I know i've said alot, but there's SOOOO much more i could talk about if u want ANY more info. from parts to installation. i'm happy to help.

Message: Thanks dan for all your info, I dropped the truck off today for the install. I did decide to go with the 2 9 gallons and 3 100% duty cycle,3/8 output compressors. if you could tell me if these parts are o.k....heres the list off the reciets so far..front upper and lower control arms(chasis tech) 8 1/2 in dema hp valves, 40 ft 5/8 airline(dot) triangulated 4 link, c-notch with bridge, 2 tank brackets, 10 switch clear bow, leader hose/circuit breaker kit, 0-500 psi pressure switch, x-tra battery in bed, digital 4 corner guages, 1- quad port 9 gall, 1- regular 9 gall tank. so, all in all, I basically want the system to be really fast, hop, and never run out of air...what do you think, am i over doing it?

Message: DAMN!! that;s a BADASS SETUP!! you're gonna make alot of others with bags REEEAALL jealous! But i hope u don't plan on using your bed, cuz there aint gonna be much room left.:) Sh*t i wish i had the $$ to do HALF that!
I don't know how they're doing the install, but if u want to hop, & if that second tank has 3 ports (for 7 total) it might help a little to run each compressor to its own port, then run the lines out directly from each other port straight to each corner. usually they use 1 port that splits to both in the rear, and 1 port that splits to each front. it might be a LITTLE slower since each pair has to share one line before they split. running it directly would take more line than normal, & i dont know if it makes that big a difference, so it might not matter.
Alot of guys on here don't like Chassis tech stuff, but i dont have any personal experience with their control arms. I've never heard of your valves, but if u know people that've used em ask them. I personally like parker or SMC (parkers are awesome for competition. or IHOP air) the battery is a REAL good idea w/ 3 compressors. the digital guage is REAL NICE!(if it's DakotaDigital it should show the tank pressure too whick is even nicer). everything else sounds good, BUT: Personally, if you're hopping, i don't know what bags u have, but i'd recommend Slam Specialties; they're made for competition. they seem better constructed and are rated for higher pressure. Also, i dont know how low you're looking to go, but if u want to go real low, u need a big step notch and cutting a hole in the bed. but with your setup, i'd be happy with just the c-notch.
But, you're one lucky bastard:) i'd like to know what brand/model the compressors are. see if can get pics of the installation or after. i gotta see that sh8t HOP! and let me know how it goes down the road. good luck & throw some sparx for me. Peace

Message: oh yeah, one more thing. After the install (or while they're doing it, MAKE SURE IT DOESN'T LEAK! My friend had problems with his s10 (so many that he SOLD it for a PROTEGE!!) because the dix he took it to told him that all bag setups leak. BULLSH*T! He'd leave his truck aired up for 40 minutes and when he came back it'd be on the ground. and they wanted to charge him to fix it!! because of that huge leak, his viair 450 was running so long to fill his 9 gallon tank that he blew it!
