Subject: What's the best brand? IP: Logged
Message: Western Chassis, DJM, Ground Force or Eibach? I am looking for a kit for my Ram, found these fours setups (all 2" coils/4" hanger/shackle with shocks) and they are all between $380-$420. New to lowering and need info please.

Message: IMO, if eibach makes a dakota kit, i'd think it'd be pretty damn good. Them or Hotchkis (alot of people like Hotchkis) that's why these 2 are real expensive(if had the $$ i would've gone with Hotchkis). I don't think anything special of west chas, djm, or ground force; they're prolly about average: better than AIM, but not as good as hotchkis or eibach. Belltech is another one, prolly a little below hotchkis & eibach. hope this helps.

Message: Yeah, the Eibach setup, for the Ram, without shocks is $305 for the 2" drop coils and 4" shackle/springhanger kit. The two are sold seperately, not as a kit. That's why shocks aren't included. Another question is shocks. Some of the setups don't specify what shocks they come with. One said Doestch Tech. What's good/bad with shocks. I would like to maintain a decent ride quality.

Message: i have doetsch tech shocks and LOVE EM!! i know some others really love em too. of course you'll find someone that has had bad experiences with ANY shocks though. u can buy doetsch tech on www.sporttruckdirect.com if they dont come with the kit. ($40/each) The most important thing with shocks is: make sure u get the right shock for the amount of drop u are doing. if they are too short, it could be too loose. if they're too long, it'll be too stiff; cuz drop shocks are made to have not too much travel. My shocks rode AWESOME when i ordered them for my 3-4 drop; but when i dropped the back another inch, it got a little stiffer. (I just noticed that u said u have a RAM, doesn't matter, just funny i missed that)
other shocks: alot of people don't like Toxic. Belltech aren't too bad. dont know about DJM shocks.
