I'm waiting for my set, they should be here friday. I'll let you know what the quality is like. Jeremy said he got his, and they seemed pretty good. I'm pretty sure what size lines you use depends on what you plan on doing with your bags. What year kota do you have?

Message: I got my bags today, and from what I see, the quality is decent. The bags are good.
The only thing that kinda got my attention was the cheap air line they sold me. Cheap stuff. The fittings are plastic too. I'll be taking a ride to the hardware store for some line and fittings before I install them.
The drop shocks they gave me look good and the brackets are solid. I would suggest going with aim for the bags and brackets and shock relocaters, but get the lines and fittings somewhere else.

Message: dillegm, congrats on the bag kit! i wish i had one. but you're definitely right to toss the plastic fittings. that's the first thing any shop will tell u: SCREW PLASTIC!! they leak or break. There are even some metal fittings that are better than others. i couldn't tell u which right now tho. but about the line, i don't think i've seen any plastic line that's better than other; i thought they were all the same DOT approved line, but i think it all looks pretty cheap. the only line i've heard kicks A$$ is copper line, but of course it's a bit expensive ($50/50ft??) and i'm sure harder to install; but it aint gonna blow. good luck and have fun with the bags!

Message: Yeah I got my bags and brackets and they are damn good for the price. I didn't get my fittings and lines there but I'll probably end up going plastic on the lines anywayz. Copper is just too damn hard to do yourself. They have that flexible stainless stuff but its really high. I'm probably going to get my fittings from Home Depot or Lowe's. I'm going to try and go without the relocaters. I'm going to try and get the whole thing done for 900 dollars. Hopefully it'll be nice if I can get my hands on a Vlair compressor. Any How, I'm glad I got a Generation II. (94) The Generation III are HARD as hell to tuck wheels on.

Message: Hey Jeremy. Back from that business trip already? I ordered my bags and they were here in 5 days..thanks for recomending them to me. I ended up getting the shock relocaters as I want a really good ride and want to make the bags last as long as possible. They are a pain in the butt though. I have taken pictures of the hole project so far, and have had to trim only one part. The bottom plate that the bumpstops hit on the lower arm. other than that i have been fine. Let me know how it rides without shocks. I am gonna order the rear bags next week. What did you end up getting for the rear? I have 4" blocks right now with drop shocks.
Let me know how those 2600's fit in there too.
thanks
Edward Murray

Message: Yeah, I got back Yesterday, It was a whole two weeks and it sucked being gone that long. Now that I'm back, I can't wait to get back too work. I would also like to add that I'm surprised so many people like to diss on AIM cause in my opinion they operate like every other company out there. Let's see where I have to start. Out back I have a C-notch I will have to replace with a step-notch. I've got 2 inch shackles and 2 inch hangers and when I weld the bags up I will remove the rest of the leafs and put a 4 inch block on there, that'll give me about 8-9 inches of drop in the back which will be needed to come close to laying with 20's. 17 or 18's would be a lot easier to lay. Also I got 5.5 inches of backspacing and +19mm offset on a 8.5inch wide wheels, anything more than that and you won't be tucking in the wheel wells. In the front I already have 2 inch drop spindles and I'm goin to try and do without drop control arms but'll have to see how low the bags drop me. I will be doing everything but the welding which I will have a friend of mine do. I don't trust my welds. I got 2600's to go in the back and AIM will send you a nice crossmember to go across your frame to mount the top of the bags too and the bottom brackets just weld straight onto the axle. A simple design, but its proven and it works. Lemme know how everything goes for you.

Message: I just wanna throw this out but.... Has anyone thought about using hydrolic hose line? Something like Aeroquip or that nature with triple barbed press fittings? The hoses are like $5 foot or less, 2" minimum radius, 2000 psi burst, NAS approve
I was researching it for work and a lightbulb came on. I unfortunatly bought all my titanium tubing and DOT hoses but it did get me curious

Message: Dillegm,
Bags looks good man. How hard was the front installation? Did you get the relocated shocks, how hard was that to install? Lastly do you have anything running with those 2500's?

Just installed the shock relocaters...take a look.
I have no compressor or valves yet, just a manual system till next month.
Wasn't bad, the only thing that sux is the grinding. Some people don't mind to grind, but I hate it..lol
Thanks for the info, Pappie1
Cheers

Message: I have a 93 ext cab. I'm putting 20's on with 245/40's. I dont have a drop yet and was looking at the aim bags. Whats the range of the ride height? I'm not looking to lay frame here. I'm not sure if these new wheels will tuck under the fender.

Message: Well, my 15's with 65 series tires hit the fender well when I am dropped over 4". at 6" the truck rests on the tires and is about 1" from laying. I'm gonna cut them out a bit, so that I can lay frame. I can go from the ground to 1-2" above stock height with the AIM bags (which are actually phoenix bags) I have the 2500's in the front and I'm getting 2600's for the back, if not bigger.

Message: I'll probobly just get the c-notch for the rear, but to lay frame I think you need a step-notch, so I'll have to see when it's time to buy them. 4 link systems are expensive, I'm on a budget with all this work, but you never know, every once in a while something happens and I come into some money. I'll keep you posted on what I do.

Message: I plan on doing mine here soon! thanks for posting the step by step pics! by the way do you or anyone else know if there is some failsafe for a bag blowout, bumpstops or something to keep me from folding my fenders if the bags fail?
