I just got an 89 3.9l Dak. I want to lower it but don't know if I should use spindles or coils up front. I would like to go 3/4. I will be running 16" wheels. Will 3/4 be low enough?

I would go with spindles and springs up front. 2" spindles with 1-2" drop springs should do it. There are a few different ways to drop the rear-end. I have seen people install a set of 4" blocks and new drop shocks and never complain...other people go with Shackles/hangers and lowered leafs. The most cost effective way, in my opinion would be getting 4" blocks, 4 new drop shocks (duecth tech make good ones), 2" spindles, and drop springs if you wish. This won't effect your ride quality too much, but it will get much stiffer. I wouldn't cut your springs. I lowered a kota 3/4 by installing blocks and cutting the front springs all with stock shocks, and it rode terrible. I bottomed out over pebbles, and it bounced unbearably. If you lower your kota, make sure you buy a very reliable, name brand shock. Duesch tech, Belltech are a few. Although I once bought a set of belltech nitro drops and the seals and valves were shot in 4 weeks, and they never would replace them for me.

Hope this helps
