Message: Blocks DO NOT make the ride stiffer, they dont change the suspension, they just relocate the leaf springs (and frame, and truck) so that the truck rides lower with respect to the axle. The only reason a truck rides differently when blocks are put in is because, since it lowers thee truck, the shocks are compressed more. This is why you need to buy drop shocks; they are shorter than the stock shocks. How the truck will ride compared to stock depends totally on the shocks.
Also, since u have an RT, you may need to cut or even better remove the bumpstops so your axle still has room to travel when u ride over bumps.
The only thing to find out is which blocks to get. I forget which i have, but many people have different opinions on which blocks (steel, extruded aluminum) are most dependable and strongest. hopefully someone else can help with this since i don't know. there should be quite a few posts that talk about it on here. Hope this helps.

Message: You could get by on the stock shocks it would just ride a little rough thats all,i think...i talked to n8 dawg,he seems to know what hes talking about and he said i could get by on my stocks atleast until i have money for the drop shocks. I'm not disagreeing with UFdakota in anyway because i have never owned a lowered truck before, but i just ordered a 3/5 kit for mine with the hangers and shackles because alot of people told me to stay away from blocks they said the ride was rougher.Hope this helps alittle :)

Message: u could definitely stay with the stock shocks, especially since i dont know if the RTs come with better shocks than the sports. if u dont have the $ right now, just see how it rides with the stock shocks after u drop it till u can get shocks.
