 Subject: JUST SPRINGS FOR A 2" R/T DROP ????

Has anyone just used the front coils to drop the front 2" on a r/t ?? What is the ride like ? I was thinking since im just going 2/3 coils would be fine , Tell me !!!!POst pics of a r/t dropped 2 inches also if you have them PLEASE I want to get this done !

we just did a 3-3 drop on a 4.7 RC and that is all the farther his would go with out control arms. I was told the farthest we could go is 3/4 and that is what I'm doing to mine this spring but with a drop that low even on his 3/3 we had to cut the front bump stops to make it fit and should have cut the rear ones...

The front will not ride well unless you cut the bump stops, there will be little to no clearance.
I have western chassis 2" lower control arms with stock springs on my R/T. They come with the bump stops already lowered, they lowered the truck about 2 1/4" ride is great but does wheel does rub the fender when bottoming out. I also bought hotchkiss rear leafs they come with new rear bump stops that are about an inch and half shorter for more clearance. They however lower the truck 3 1/2 to 4 1/2" depending on how many spacers you use.

hey joe, leave a email address. 2 inch dakota coils will drop you one inch more, if you want a 2 inch drop, you need to buy either 3 inch drop coils or the 2' djm coils (the same thing as 3inchers). i have 3 inch coils going on my r/t sometime either this week, or the next, im just waiting on shox as of now! kamezzle13@usa.com

What coils will drop it 1" I think this is hat im going to do , 1" should not affect ride to much and would be rather cheap and would give me the look I want more than likely ! Spddracer@aol.com

1 inch, theres plenty of those out there. hotckiss being the best, then djm has some, along with AIM, and beltech. if you have a r/t, justbuy 2 inch drop coils for a regular dak!

Ok If I drop the front 1" What should I drop the back to make it almost level , I could live with the back a bit higher than the front , Just use 2" blocks ??

the back is two inches higher then the front, in stock form, so if you want it level, lower the back 2 inches further then you lower the front (ie 1/3 or 2/4)... do you have a r/t? if so the shocks could still be fine for the front, but im not sure about the back. shocks are real easy to change out (even if your not mechanically inclined, like two bolts per shock)) so you could always leave them, and see if you like the ride. if you bottom out too much, change shocks!!!
