Subject: Why lower a 4x4????? IP: Logged
Message: Its just wrong and defeats the point in having the truck to begin with. If you want lowered buy an R/T, don't ruin a truck as bueatiful as a Dakota 4x4. I mean really, come on people.

i love the stance of the R/T and the rims. i was thinking about getting a 4x4, lowering it and puting the R/T rims on it, but it isnt worth the extra $$$ to me. the reason why i would want the 4x4, is for winter. sometimes we get big snow storms. i could have had the looks of the R/T, and the great winter handling. it would not see anything other than snow. (no offroading, no mud, and so on...)
oh well, i will probably keep the R/T in the garage whenever we get more than 5" of snow.

Message: why not? the only reason i have a 4x4 is winter driving. sorry, all my wheels have power so i should sit 10' off the ground. nothin against lifted trucks, im just sayin you shouldnt care if someone wants to modify their truck the way they want it. why do 2wd trucks get lifted. is that ruining a truck too? modification is about makin your vehicle how you want it and how you like it. maybe you should just send me a list of what to do to my 4x4 so i dont ruin it. that way i can have my truck set up how you would like it to be.

Dear Mr.Rocket Scientist,
It also means alot more weight(ie:it would be a SLUG).You think 4wd will give you better control
around turns? Have you ever driven a 4wd truck on dry roads? I seriously doubt a "4wd" wannabe RT could out handle a real RT.Only a confused redneck would lower a 4x4.

Message: A gsx can run circles around a gs. Ya your right it does have alot more weight but you would gain soo much more grip. Just put the pig ona weight diet and stiffn up the suspension so you ain't articulat'n around the turns. Ya, 4wd trucks are horrible to drive on dry payment, if you got a solid axle!! Don't be a hater cause you never drove in a Typoon. Just slip into the "how would it work" mode and use that noodle. Also go to Magneticminis.com if you want to see a bunch of "confused rednecks"

Message: you lower a 4x4 because in my case, i live in michigan and need the traction in the winter cause of the snow, but its not deep enough to where your going to need it 9 inches off the ground, and i like the lowered look, if you guys know of anyone in michigan who does lower 4x4s then let me know, thanx
