Subject: BellTech rear leafs? IP: Logged
Message: Has anyone tried the 4 inch lowering BellTech rear leafs? Did they ride much stiffer than stock? Did they hold up to the power of the engine or were they weak? Just wondering because I have a 4.7 and would like the tires not to hop any worse than stock.
Thanks for any info.

Message: They shouldn't hop...
I haven't tried em first-hand, but I've heard a lot of good things about Hotchkis's 3" leafs, and they claim to offer stock-quality ride.

Message: Thanks for the info, but I am really interested in the BellTech rear leafs because I found a website that sells them for $85.95 each. That is a whole lot less than the Hotchkis leafs plus they are four inches in drop.
Has anyone actually used these before?
Thanks for the info

Message: There website says up to a 2000 in on of there catalogs, but I am not sure. I don't see why they would not fit.
I would still like to find someone who has used them first.
Anyone?

Message: I have the belltech 2/4 drop on a quad cab using the 4 inch leafs in the back. It rides fine, I also have a 100 shot of nitrous on it and get plenty of power to the wheels with or without it. It does ride a little stiffer, especially on big bumps, but thats just how any lowered truck is going to ride.

Message: AAHHHAAAA!! I knew that had to be tooooo good to be true! Hey guys, READ CLOSELY! IT says the price is for EACH!!!! $170 for both= that sounds more realistic. Sucks, I'm already dropped, and i was thinkin of switchin to those. But if anyone talks to them and it actually IS 85 for the pair, lemme know!! sorry to spoil it! :(

Message: Adam,
Thanks for the info. What type of shocks did you use with the leafs?
UFDakota,
I said they were $85.95 EACH in my second post.
Even at $170.00 that is still a lot less than the $300.00 Hotchkis leafs. Plus they are an inch lower.

Message: I used the toxic shocks, it rides fine but make sure you put the shorter bumps stops on the front and back because if you dont it will jolt your brains out. The shocks will settle and your truck will set even lower after a few hundred miles.
