Subject: Laying Frame?
IP: Logged

Message:
I have a 2000 Dakota Quad Cab. I have a 8" step notch in the rear along with a 4-link. My truck is equipped with a Red's 10 switch hydro setup with 8" and 10" cylinders. My question is, is there anyway to get my front to lay frame without notching the frame for my lower control arms? Right now my control arms are being held up by the frame and i'm still about 2 inches from the ground on the front but laying frame in the rear. Any advice on how to get the front down would be greatly appreciated.

I have Western Chassis 2" drop A arms and mine lays out up front. 17" wheels not 20" though. My problem is in the back end.

This may seem like a dump question but did you take off your bump stops. I think their good for another 2 inches of drop. Also what size tire and wheel do you have.

I am laying crossmember up front with 18's and DJM lower control arms. I have railed it so much that the tires hit the front fenders before the crossmember hits the ground. However I am not laying fram in the rear, unless you count the leaf spring perches to be frame. We are going to have to relocate those with the 2 link if I wan to lay in the rear, but my rear wheels won't tuck until I get the rear end narrowed.

Sounds like most of you have really screwed up an otherwise really nice truck.
