Subject: Converting rear drop back to stock specs IP: Logged
Message: Hi,
I have a Y2K Dakota that was dropped 2/4. I installed Western Chassis shackles and hangers out back. The stock parts were air chisled out. I was wondering If I could order new factory shackles and hangers to replace the lowered ones. If anyone out there tried to do this any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Message: I've think I've got most of what you need, I used a belltech 2/4 back in 2000 when I first lowered my truck. The belltech kit still maintained the stock shackles though (I would bet yours did to) just the hangers were changed.
Anyway I have my old hangers (I drilled and punched out the rivets, so there is no torch marks) and the stock front coil springs. I live in Ontario, CANADA so it could be expensive shipping (heavy) to wherever you are, but email me if your interested.

Message: Thanks for the pointers. idrops4u, Thanks for the offer. I did change both shackles and hangers in the kit because it is adjustable for a 3-5 inch drop. The big problem I have with re-using old parts is what if any type of metal fatigue occured due to removing the old parts. Looks like I will hit up the local Dodge dealer to see what the parts would cost. Thanks again.
