thought about flipping their stock hanger, or modifying them so they hold the spring higher?
i was looking at being down on a ranger, and i see no reason as to why it shouldnt work on our trucks. i think im gonna try it, the good part is that its totally reversable...

The stock hangers are installed with rivets, you'll have to drill or air-tool those things out. That's a PITA. I think reversing it would make for a very severe drop. I am not for certain, but I don't think your pinion angle would be the best either. I'd have to take a look at my own truck, but I don't think this is the best idea.

However, if you have already done it or have your heart set on it, let us all know how it turns out.

also the rivets are angle differently so they only line up one way (I tried as well) Its enough that you need to ream out a bit to make it work. Unfortunatly it wont leave enough material for a strong product (at least for my taste)

those rivets are a BIG PITA.....i used a torch to cut through them when i installed my shackle/hanger kit..... a drill would do the job but it would take awhile...took me about 3+ hours to do the the drop in the rear...and u would be looking at a big drop in the rear if u do that...i dont think it would be a very good idea either...and are u sure that the rivet holes line up? i dont recall seein the holes lining up b/c mine only fit one way...

what year is your dak?

i have a 99 r/t...
to do the rivets on two sets of trucks ive been involved dropping, we used a angle grinder, it was a pain, but wasnt the hardest part...
the hardest part was actually putting those god damn bushings in the shocks, who woulda thought...
well im buying a pair of used aftermarket hangers (djm), and i have to greind the rivets anyways, so i might as well look and try it out, right? my point is i have nothing to loose, and if it works out as easily as i think it will, it might give some dakotas an alternative...
thanks for the imput guys, this is exactly what i was looking for!
