Its not a bad deal as long as the bags don't have worn spots and the compressors arn't like 33% duty cycle. Also might wanna look into makeing sure the lines are 1/2 ...... cause everything else is crapppp. so..... what would be left is cups, brackets, switches, and valves (about $400)

Bags are pretty much a universal fit type thang. what kind of bags are they?

Also the back of any truck is light as he!!. Its real easy to hop the back...... more skill to hop the front. Remember to hop the front, playah!!!

Hello, I am bagging a ford ranger. Now I now this is for Dakota but my friend as one and we are doing his too.... Well, anyways.. I am making all my brackets and my step notch. I am going just F.B. with 1/2 #2600 bags and electric valves. I am only doing the back for now. I went ahead and went monoleaf. The thing is, is that now sense I dont have as much support in the back with only one leaf, when i change from reverse to forward or visa versa, it kicks from the turning of the drive saft. Is there any possible way of fixing it? A ford ranger as a 2 piece drive saft, so that is helping me alot on the geomotries of the truck.... PLEASE HELP FAST!

Michael

Ladder bars or four link are a definite fix, adjustable traction bars might help.

ya... my buddie has a ford ranger and after 6 months of mono-leafing, he's getting a 4 link due to wierd axle angle and severe "s"ing of his mono leaf. I don't know what it is about Rangers. I heard they are imposible to bag. do you lay frame? If so, how you go about doing it

Actually i've got 3/8 inch line on a 318 94 dakota and it lifts quick as hell on regular compressed air. The front and back can lift all the way off the ground (about 6 inches) in about a second. Its so quick it feels like the trucks bounces so I don't really know how much quicker a 1/2 inch line would make you. Mono-leaf really does suck though but its cheaper than hell. I would get a vlair 450c compressor cause they kick ass. If your running thomas or firestone you better get two. A five gallon tank would be plenty for the rear alone. If you get bag mounts over the axle just use one switch and tee the bags off cause side to side is almost non existent since the one bag will also help support the other side with the air out. Now if you 4-link it or anything else specail i've seen mad side to side travel but as it stands with a basic mono-leaf and bags on axle, one bag at 120 and the other a 0 you get like 4 inch difference side to side and the side aired down is still high as hell off the ground.

I always start by setting up the tank, switches and valves before even starting the front or back. Set it all up right up to the valves and test for compression. This is usually the most time consuming part due to leak checks and wiring and what not. Then shot the front out... then the back. by the time you get to the back..... everything should be straight foward up untill u start the bed triming.

To tuck the back... you need to eather shorten the rear axle or purchase rims that have the right backspacing to tuck

when you bag just the front or just the rear and are going to do the other end at a later time, can you pre wire all the valves and switches for all corners. So when you do the 2 corners that havent been done all you need to do is run the air lines, do the 4 link, etc.

ya dude thats what i did with mine i started with all the wire for the compressers then ran ALL the hose lines to all the valves and wired the valves to my control box. if you are doing one side at a time i suggest doing the front first.
