 Subject: Wanted: R/T Coils and Leafs

I want to lower my new QC sportplus 4.7 1" in
the front and 1" or 2" in the back. I don't want
to lose any load carrying capacity if possible
and am looking for quality parts(factory if
possible).
I'm sure the Hotchkis 2/3 kit is great but it's
simply too low for my taste. Soooo, I'm
looking for some take-off R/T coils and leafs.
I'm wondering if any aftermarket companies
make a quality 1" drop coil and/or a 2" drop
leaf?
I'd consider a pair of take-off QC sport 4.7
coils like mineand just cut them to get my 1"
drop.
Finally, does anyone know the factory sping
rates for a '01/'02 QC,RC and CC with 4.7 or
5.9?
Sorry for the long post. Thoughts?

I forgot I also have the sway bars. All parts are off a 99/rt, only had 15,000 miles when they were removed.

I'm very interested in the front R/T coils and
possibly the rear sway bar.
The front sway bar and shocks are the same
as the ones on my truck and I'm probably
going to use Hotchkis rear leafs to keep my
hauling/towing rating.

Hey Lemmers do not short change yourself, do not just use any part of the Hotchkis Kit, get the whole kit. I have the full kit on my truck, the kit is expensive, the ride is firm, but I would not go any other way. Only the Hotchkis sway bars work with anything stock. Instead of all this explaination I should say do not mismatch parts.

Bill,
I'm still getting everything I need to do the 1-2
drop. I picked up a pair of CC R/T front coils
and I'm waiting for my Western Chassis 2"
drop rear spring hangers and bump stops to
be delivered.
I'm going to drop the back first and see where
the front ends up with the R/T coils. I'm
guessing I'll end up cutting the coils down a
bit to get the front where I want it.
FWIW I measured an R/T CC last night and
the back sits 2" lower than my QC (32.5" vs.
34.5") and the front sits about 1.75" lower than
my QC(31" vs. 32.75"). Keep in mind that the
overall diameter of the R/T wheel and tire is an
inch less than the wheel and tires that came
on my Quad Cab, giving the R/T an "extra" .5"
of drop.
Anyway, sorry for the long post. I hope to do
the drop in the next week or two, I'll keep you
posted.

fLemmers, i've got r/t coils for ya , if you havent bought any yet let me know, maybe meet you half way. I'd seriously be willing to travel. Maybe do some offroading!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
