Message: Well i just ordered my Hotchkis 2/3 drop yesterday, with some Toxic drop shocks. But i didn't buy the sway bar because i thought they were way to much, somthing like $535 or somthing like that. But I found the ones on the Durango for $395, what i was wondering was, will the Durango sway bars fit my Dakota(98cc)? They are both built on the same fraim, right? OH yeah, i bought all this stuff from Summit Racing, all for around $560 w/ the shocks.
Coil Springs/ $164
Leaf Springs/ $252
Toxic Shocks/ $33(ea)
Shiping/ $5
I say this pricing is alot better than what Hotchkis was offering from there site!!!
Sport Coil Springs/ $173
Sport Leaf Springs/ $265
Shiping/ Was around $50 i think

Message: I doubt the Durango swaybars would work on a Dakota... A Dakota and a Durango each have different suspension setups.

Message: I've read a bunch of the posts concerning lowering a Dakota. This much I've definitely figured out. 1) I don't want to do the shackle and hanger thing in the back. 2) I want to stick with a 2/3 drop.
This is the present configuration of my truck, 16x8 wheels with 235/60R16 rubber. Wheels have 0 offset. Tire diameter will be 27", width will be 9.5".
Some of the postings indicated a problem with turning radius when using S-Arms to lower the front. True or False? How bad will it be with a 2" front drop? So which is it better to use in the front, A-Arms or drop coils?
I am considering two different set-ups: 1) A Ground Force 2-3 Drop Kit with coils up front and leafs in the back, or 2) Western Chassis 2" Drop A-Arms up front with Hotchkis 3" Drop leafs in the back.
Do I have to use the Bilstein shocks with the Hotchkis leafs?
TIA, any info is appreciated.

Nope, but to run without them is an injustice to the entire suspension system.

Message: Yes i have received the kit n8 Dawg, i probley wont be able to get to it untill the end of this month or the beginning of Feb(too dang cold). What exactaly is so bad about the Toxic shocks? If its cuz it rides ruff, thats all good with me:)!! Iam a young guy(18), so the ride really dont matter, just so long as she holds on around the corners. And i have 255's on the truck, so its already really nice around the corners, its really hard for me to get the tires to even make a sound around corners.

Message: I just got back from overseas and bought a 2000 Durango RT. It's got Hotchkis suspension already and I am looking to put a 3" drop front and 2" rear. What is the best way to go about this?
