hey guys
my parents got me some crager 20x9 wheels with 255/35/20 tires for christmas and also got a lowering kits for my truck.....they got belltech shocks all the way around and for the front they got DJM 3" control arms and for the back they just got DJM hangers that suppost to lower my back end 5" inches from what the dealer said from where they bought it from. is that all i need to lower it 5 inches or do i need new shackles if so what size do i need or can i just use the one that are on it right now.

That should be about it, because when you install the rear hangers, the factory shackles get turned upward from the mounting point on the hanger.
In other words, when you look at the stock set up; the rear shackles are pointing downward from the bolt that goes through the hanger. When you install the new rear hangers, the shackle gets "flipped" up towards the bed floor, in order to maximize the rear drop.
It is necessary to do this in order to get the full 5" drop with that kit. I've seen some individuals that have installed the kit, leaving out the shackles (or just bolting the leaf-spring directly to the hanger)...which doesn't fully lower the truck 5". Then they complain that the kit they bought is junk.
