Message: I've got a 94 Dakota that I plan on Bagging very soon. Right now I have a wad of cash and I'm looking to set it up on some nice twenties/ possibly 18's. The problem is the 6x4.5 bolt circle. The highest offset in any possible aftermarket rim after weeks and weeks of checking is 19mm. Hardly enough to even tuck enough in the wheel well to look normal for a street truck. WTF is up will all these whack wheels with 10mm offsets hanging out into the roadway. Centerline can custom make some billets (great an everyday wax job) but said they can only give 5.5 in max backspacing on a 8.5 inch wide twenty.....still not enough.....where are all the high offset wheels like you see for s-10's? The only place i've seen with awesome backspaceing that might work is boyd coddington where the representives actually know what they are talking about. But 500-700 a wheel is a swift kick in the nutsack. Can I not get a decent 20x8 or 8.5 with at least a +35 offset or 6 inch of BS? I'm beginning to think its impossible. Something I did learn on this experience is 75% of the wheel shops out there don't know jack about wheels. I had wheeltech.com tell me a 35mm offset is unheard of. LOL.....clowns. I hate to think my airbag trip is going to head down this same clueless road my rims are going down.....if so i'm in for a lot of tylonel. Thanks for reading.

Message: LOL!!!!!! That was me like a month ago!!!!! Ya... some of these shops are just completly clueless about the whole backspacing. I can't count how many times I heard "they will fit" and it be a 5" backspacing. I emailed one company 3 times to get the EXACT backspace measurement and 3 times, they emailed me back "they will fit and they will look great.....$3000" Ya...... I had to pic up a set of boyds too. 500-700 bucks seem a little steep... try www.exoticwheels.net . I called the shop and they seem to have thier sh!t together about what is what and how to get a rim there
