Message:
Does anyone no what comes in the DJM 3 inch coil and 5 inch shackle lowering KIT. Cause if you buy the coils and shackles seperatly it comes to 30 dollars cheaper. So I was wondering if the kit has more things like bump stops or something. ThankS.

dont get that kit. you'll regret buying a 3"coil cause your control arm will pull way to high. Spend the money and get the control arm kit.

Why would the 3 inch coils be bad?? ive heard the control arm loses a lot of steering? is there any 3 inch coil thats good? or could you use a 2 inch coil and something else?

take a look at the control arm as it is with the stock spring.now look at the pivot point and move the cup where the spring sits in the control arm, and move it upwards 3 inches. You'll see that the tire will now sit at a rediculous camber, causing absurd tire wear and poor control. If you dont mind this, then get the springs. The control arm will make you lose turning radius, but it's a proper drop, It does'nt wear anything out too soon, unless you dont but new shocks. To me, a 2" control arm/w 1" spring would be best. try www.stylinconcepts.com.

if u have a v6 dak also u dont want djm 3" coils...it will only lower you 1.5-2 inches...i have 3" c. arms and 3" djm coils.....i sit at a 5/5 drop....the coils are crappy....but i love my c. arms...and i have never saw a truck with coils that there tire folded in.....my front tires fold in only b/c ur not supoide to use coils with the 3" arms....and tires usually only fold in with a big drop or when bagged...

and wiuth c. arms you will hate the turn radious at first but will get use to it

and if u want a good 3" coil get the belltech

If you have the v8, get the control arms. You CAN align it fine, and you can get your steering back. On the rear or the front control arm there is a tab that sticks out that stops the steering spidle. Cut it off and you get your steering back. The steering SUCKS if you dont cut this tab off. Doesnt effect anything. DJM told me that it was fine to do. If you have the 16" wheel and tire package (29" tall tire), you will have to get bigger bump stops. Mine are the tallest ones that energy suspension makes. I believe they are 2 3/4" tall. Yea, it is a little work, but it will be totaly worth it. O yea.. about the alignment, on my truck, its perfectly fine. DJM says that you might have to extend the alignment holes, but I didnt need to. There are people that will tell you that it wont align. Mine 02 quad cab is perfectly aligned with the djm lower control arms. If you have any more questions you guys can email me.

take it easy guys,

I have the djm 3"coil/5" hanger kit on my truck for 5 years and havn't had a problem, handles great, still useing the stock shocks. When I bought my kit it also came with poly control arm bushings and poly bump stops for the front and rear. If you want to look at some pics goto these sites.

I have a 2000 with V-6. Have the 3" lower control arms up front and 5" hanger kit in the rear. Have the truck on 18's all around with 255/45's. the only problem is the drivers side sits like a 1/2" lower than the passenger side. that is the way the truck is designed i was told. And when i hit a big dip it might rub the fender well. but not very often. ALL SHOW NO GO!!!!!! Low and Slow. Next will be bags in October. Hi Lift... the 3-5 handles great and looks sweet..
