i guess the older i get,the more i want to smooth it out.i have djm shocks now.would a foam rubber
bump stop help any?it bounces pretty good(bad)
over bumps,on the highway its great.i think
edelbrock is making some for lowered trucks now.
before, price was not an option,i am willing to

Steve,

Get yourself a c-section, it gives you 2 or 3 extra inches of travel (defending on brand). Had the same problem you did, until I got the c-section put in. The bumps are hard cause your hitting the bumpstops, no shock can correct insufficient travel space.

As far as shocks, I like the Doestech shocks. They are the only good shock that is designed for 4 to 6 inch rear drops. Check out www.sporttruckdirect.com for the stocks and the Western Chassis C-section. The c-section costs about $100 and is a good quality part.

Steve,

The c-section is welded in place, so yes there is cutting involved. I had a shop do it for about $120 if I remember correctly.

The foam filled bumpstops should make a difference but they can't work miracles (big bumps). These bumpstops are just a bandaid to your problem, but hey, if they don't work out, you only spent a few bucks. Give them a try.
