Subject: All I want is an even 3" drop... IP: Logged
Message: I've seen on a lot of dropped trucks, the front tires seem to sit at a strange angle, such as they sit on the inner-part of the tread. I want the tires to stay level when I drop it. Besides the drop, I also want to add new shocks, swaybars, and active suspension(that goes on the leafsprings).
So what's the best way to do a 3" drop, but keep the front tires straight and not slanted inward? I'm not too familiar with lowering yet...

Message: The un-even front end that you see means that they didn't use drop spindles! For the dodge 2x4 we don't have torsion bars. Suv's have torsion bars in the front and they will simply twist them down and this will mess with the camber of the wheels making them wear on the inside. A simple aligment fix will change that. For the rear end to be dropped 3 inches. All you need is 3" blocks. Go to autozone or pepboys and the kit costs you 32 bucks. I re-installed my 3" blocks yesterday and I love it. For the front I am going to use drop spindles and springs, and sooner or later Ill be buying 4 performance shops. The rear shouldn't take more then 2 hours at the most for you to do by yourself. I don't know really about the front end.

Message: hey guys
i used djm coils in the front and western
chassis adjustable hangers in the back. i tow
a couple of jet skis on a trailer so i didn't want
to use blocks. the djm 3" coil will give you 2"
drop with the 4.7. the hangers are 3, 4 or 5"
adjustable. kind of a b*tch to put on, tho.

Message: Actually, now that I think about it, I think I have a front swaybar already... I got this truck used, maybe the guy that owned it before put it on... or maybe it's just on there from the factory, anyone know if Dak's come out of the factory with a front swaybar?
Anyway, I know what swaybars look like and that's what I saw in the front end.
