Subject: 3/5 lowering kit scrapes. can ne1 help? IP: Logged
Message: i lowered my 2002 dakota with the djm 3/5 lowering kit. and the front tires rub the inside of the fender and chew up my tires. anyone know of a way to fix it?

Message: yea. for right now i have stock tires n rims. but im gettin 18's with low profile tires so it shouldnt be a problem after. yea xplikt...thats how mine looks. just a bit worse. :\

Message: Worse? Damn, I can't imagine much worse than how mine was looking. Mine has a nice ring all around it that can flip up. If you reach under there with your hand you can really tell why it does it too.

Message: damn, my stock 15's dont even hit the body,
they only scrape the plastic part inside the
fender. OUCH!

Message: i had ¼ inch between my tire and my fender...rubbed when i went around a corner, wore the plastic off in 3 days...and tore up the tires.....i put 205/60's on my truck and i have 2 inches now, which the frame will scrape before the tires rub....i got a 5/5 on my dak

on the first pic they are 235/70's the 2nd and 3rd are the 205's....you can tell they are smaller in the 2nd pic...

Message: LMAO.. damn dude that paint drawing is awsome.. lol.. i had the same problem with my 3/5. stock tires would rub the plastic.. so i ripped it out. then they rubbed the metal.. so i went to a lower profile tire.. then the A-arms scraped the road. then i got into an accident.. put my 20's on.. and somehow i have no problems (after i took a BFH to that pesky f'kin lip)

Message: just put a little bit bigger bump stops. took me a while to get it right but perfect now, i'm lowered 3/5 and is running 22's and have no problems now. when i had 20's with a 45 series tire had a little rub, but the 18's and 22's i have now are perfect. hit me back if u want more info. tony22@mminternet.com
