Subject: Wanting to level my stock height... IP: Logged
Message: Ok, i have a '98 2wd 3.9L ext. cab Dakota. Every once in a while i go to my other house by the Tennessee River but it is dark as hell there. And i hate how my headlights are pointed down because of how it's height in the back is higher than the front. The whole ride suspension and stuff is completely stock and i would like to get some idea on how to level it out, BUT i also do a little bit of towing(jet-ski, etc...) so any ideas???

Message: a set of 2 inch blocks on the back would level it, one inchers would do the trick... but couldnt you just adjust the bulbs to make them beam higher up? im pretty sure you can...

Message: I personaly suggest 2" blocks & shocks.
Yes you can adjust the headlight beams. There are little screws around the outside of the headlight. Those are used to adjust the beam.

Message: I got my blocks from chassis tech. Beleave it or not, I do beleave this is the only product they sell that is worth a damn.
Adding the blocks is easy. Just jack up the back of your truck & put it on jackstands. Unscrew the U bolts. Raise the "Pumpkin" with the jack and put the blocks inbetween the leaf spring & the axle. Attach the new U bolts & screw those nuts back on. (If you get new shocks, install now) After setting the truck down, re-tighten the bolts.
I did it by myself in less than 45 min and i got the same truck as u Drew.
