Message: My truck is dropped a bit, 2/3, and this will be my first winter with it lowered.
I am still considerably higher than mostly all cars, so I don't see any problems unless I was trying to offroad with it. If there are any snow banks in my way I just plough right through them anyways.
I don't foresee any problems this winter. I probably wont be going some of the places I went last year though. Those times I should have had a 4x4 anyways.
I wouldn't worry about it too much, you should do just fine unless you live up in the boonies.

Message: Mine is like a snow plow. HEHE I can't go anywhere if it is piled up. I garage mine in the winter though. The VERY first winter I bought it I had to use it and it was terrible, it wasn't even lowered yet.....

Message: Low 99, you just gotta get a V8.
"What this, a snow bank up ahead.."

Right through the snow you go!
The one problem I see is you will need bags in the back. Several hundred pounds prefferably. I don't know how well your drop will let you put that much weight back there.

Message: xplikt-- I have a winter beater now. After that first winter I couldn't take it, and plus I drive the beater to and from work now to save miles on the truck.

Message: My old one died, lasted me two years, paid $500 for it. I'd say I got my monies worth. This thing I just picked up Saturday, 1991, 130K miles 4.3 V-6, only paid $1000. Hopefully this one lasts a few more winters than two....
