Subject: How to cut out the front fenderwells IP: Logged
Message: I have a 2000 Dodge Dakota with a 4.7L V-6 engine with an air bag suspension and 20" rims. I wanted to know if anyone has cut out the inside of the front fenderwells and whether or not anything needs to be relocated. If anyone has done this, could you please post a response or email me with a detailed explanation of what to do. My email is thebluewu@yahoo.com.
Thank You

Message: no, you dont have to relocate anything!...if you like having your battery, fuesbox, pcm, abs things, and whatever else you have on your fenders bouncing off of your tires, then thats fine
-Eric Injection is nice, but i'd rather be blown. 5.2L, 5speed. Powerdyne SC, 50mm TB, 2bbl M-1, 1.7RR's, MSD 6BTM, ciramic JBA headers, 3" carsound cat, dumped gibson

Message: Funny:
I don't remember asking for a smart ass response. I wanted to know what needs to be relocated and exactly where to relocate what does need to be moved, not what will bounce of the tires. I also wanted to know if anyone had detailed instructions on exactly how to do this too. So if you don't have any help on the subject, then don't post a response.

Message: its not hard to find out what needs to be relocated. pretty much whatever is on the fenders, needs to be moved. (hint: i already gave you the list)
all you do is unbolt what needs to be moved and move it. you will probably need to cut and splice wires to make them longer (i know a guy who relocated his fues box and pcm. it took him a week), and add depending on how your breaklines are set up for that 4.7L V6 you have (hehehe) you might have to fab up some break line too.
the battery is easy, just throw it in the bed and run new cable.
why would you even consider doing a job like this, if you have NO clue of not only HOW to do it, but WHAT needs to be done??
