It sounds like some of you guys have some corrupt cops. Here in Nebraska the only thing I have found so far that is illegal is having straight headers and racing. Neon lights, body kits, lowered, lifted, performance mods you name it all basically get ingnored by the cops. I guess they are just too busy busting people hanging out in parking lots and issuing $hit loads of MIP's.

Out here in Alberta, they will ignore you driving without a hood as long as the hinges are removed or not left sticking up. I've also gotten away with no tailgate for quite some time now...

in ark. that stuff isnt illegal....ppl take their tailgates off to get better gas mileage around here....and as for the hood i have never seen any one ridin w/o a hood....

i have a 2003 truck and here in ohio you get busted for it all. I have red turn siganals interior lights and brake lights. I have a purple underglow and liscense plats neon frame and 3" lift kit. However even though i have all of that i usually sweet talk my way outta a ticket b/c i say i spent so much time on doing this. And well i guess it helps to twirl your long blonde hair blink your bright blue eyes and well hell just being a girl!!!!! But damn does it suck for you guys! I was also wonderin how high is the limit for lifting ur truck?? Thanks ;)

There actually is a limit to high high (and low) your bumper can be from the ground. I remember reading Montanas and it was pretty damn high. High enough where 99% of the lifts out there don't come close to it.

legal limit i think is that the headlights have to be 22-27 inches from the ground.

I really doubt that 97grndak. If that were true, that some stock trucks would be illegal, and just about EVERY lifted truck would be too.

i know for a fact it is the legal limit on how low a car or truck can go. however i dont know on the height. but for dropping purposes, ur headlights have to be at least 22 inches from the ground. no less or u can get written up for it.
