Subject: Belltech drop ? IP: Logged
Message: I got a Belltech 2/4 drop kit at home ready to be installed. My question is will the 4" in the rear be too much with only 2 in the front. Will the back of the truck be lower than the front. Should I use a 3" coil and not the 2". I really don't think I'll get 2" drop in the front. Cause belltech only have V-8 and V-6 springs and the 4.7 is alot lighter that the 5.9 and the 5.2

Message: measure your turckl height, at the fender wells to the ground and you will see what drop you need...or want.....if u want it to be raked...or sit level......a 3/4 i think would look good, proably sit a lil raked, not much, but i think it would look awsome on your truck, fill in that fender gap
i like that hood

Message: i have the 2/4 on my 2000 quad cab, it dropped more than 2 in front. i also have the 5.9. when i called belltech about my rubbing they thought i might have gotten the wrong springs, but they were correct ones. sits pretty close to level within one inch back still a little higher not much.

Message: I have the belltech drop in my 2000 R/T CC and the 2" in the front is more than enouph and the back does sit a lot lower than the front so what I did was replace the back belltech shackle with the factory one and now the truck sits perfectly level. Also with the belltech drop the truck bottomed out in the back on every little bump by putting the factory shackle back in it prevented this.

Message: So what you are saying is only replace the front hanger and leave the stock rear and it will give me just a 2" drop in the rear and with the 4.7 I might get about a 1.5 in the front.
Thanks
